Both Phillipi & Rodrigo, the Brazilian duo, have notable backgrounds including touring and making music under the name Fatnotronic, producing Brazil's pop sensation Pabllo Vittar and Rodrigo was part of the band Bonde do Rolê. The pair began their new project so they could explore different sounds. Influences range from The KLF's book, ‘The Manual’, The Residents' ‘Commercial’ album, Joao Donato's ‘Quem é Quem’ and other Brazilian music.

They released their debut album 'Paciencia' in 2019 after the success of 2 releases on DEEWEE, where the organ-heavy psychedelic pop cut ‘Retrogrado’ was accompanied by a music video featuring Brazilian transgender activist and artist, Pepita

Described by David and Stephen Dewaele, as sounding “like Stereolab in 2019 singing in Portuguese while a Batucada band performs at a Brazilian beach techno party”.
